Godsmack

Anticipation crackled through the slot machine soundtrack on the way to Ovation Hall inside the Ocean Casino Resort on Friday night. Godsmack has once again rolled into Atlantic City as part of the Vibez Tour. The band's raw energy and frontman Sully Erna's powerful vocals during last night's performance lived up to the hype, delivering a potent dose of nostalgic hard rock that left the crowd exhilarated.

From the mellow cover of Pink Floyd’s “Time” opening riffs, it was clear Godsmack were there to bringing a different vibe indeed. Erna, a charismatic force on stage, commanded the audience with his signature growl and soaring melodies. Fueled by a tight rhythm section featuring bassist Robbie Merrill and drummer Shannon Larkin, guitarist Tony Rombola balanced between soothing selections and a torrent of searing riffs that had the crowd engaged from the first note to the last.

The setlist was a potent mix of covers, and Godsmack's hits and deep tracks which showcased the band's incredible ability to orchestrate an intimate “vibe” throughout the evening.

Despite the impressive stage setup and electrifying performance, there was a sense of connection between the band and the audience. Erna's between-song banter was genuine, and the band seemed to be feeding off the energy of the crowd.

Overall, Godsmack's performance at the Ocean Casino Resort was a masterclass in musical entertainment. They delivered a powerful setlist with flawless execution, proving why they remain one of the most compelling live acts in the genre. If you have a chance to catch them on the Vibez Tour, don't miss out – it's an experience you won't soon forget.
