The Struts brought their high-octane rock and roll to The Fillmore in Philadelphia on Friday night, August 2nd, and the crowd was electric. The band delivered a blistering 18-song set that spanned their entire career, leaving fans breathless and exhilarated.
From the moment they hit the stage, The Struts commanded attention. Frontman Luke Spiller, with his flamboyant style and powerful vocals, was a force of nature. His stage presence is nothing short of magnetic, drawing the audience in with every note. Luke even jumped deep into the crowd to have a sing along with the massive floor attendees.
The setlist was a masterclass in crowd-pleasing, featuring a mix of old favorites and newer tracks. Classic hits like "Could Have Been Me" and "Kiss This" had the entire venue singing along, while newer songs like "Fallin' With Me" showcased the band's evolution.
A particular highlight was the inclusion of the new song "Heaven’s Got Nothing On You," and the acoustic rendition of "Mary Go Round" provided a beautiful and intimate moment, as the cell phone lights filled the venue like swaying fireflies.
But it wasn't just about the songs. The Struts are renowned for their spectacular live performances, and this show was no exception. Guitarist Adam Slack and drummer Gethin Davies delivered mind-blowing solos that showcased their incredible talent. The energy on stage was infectious, and the crowd fed off it, creating an electric atmosphere.
The Struts' performance at The Fillmore was another triumph in the long list of performances at this venue. They proved once again why they are one of the most exciting rock bands on the planet.
